Nirvana in the rain

shadow childe looks at the sky, what do you see?
is it the light or the darkness that draws you to me?
drawn together we can't deny the lorelei plea
there goes the last vestiges of our collective sanity
falling falling falling away from the world to the void
touch the stars gravity's no more holding down this boy
slash and burn the skin and it returns though not the same
slash and burn your heart again is it worth the pain?
angel child walk the darkness now softly step
devil child walk the light with baited breath
twilight people betwixt the light and the darkness are
retracing the luminous scar of a falling star
laying on the beach at night where dark sea and sky meet
ripping logic and tossing emotion out on the sand
glistening upon the grains tide sweeps out to sea
another glass-bottle person floating won't you lend a hand
break me open shatter my shell read what's inside
brown glass bottles surround us what do they hide?
sun goes down and the day begins for creatures of the night
vampires living on visions bleeding drinking the light
i'll bite you and you'll bite me feeding off our dreams
until yours becomes mine like mine was always you
raindrops falling from the sky now hit the ground
don't say a single word listen to the raindrops' sound
